JAMES H. SMITH                                                 |        This Deed made the 17st day of Oct

        TO                                                                  | in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred

THE BOARD OF EDUCATION 0LUBECK TWP  | and Sixty Six, between the grantor James

----------------------------------------------------------| Smith of the County of Wood and State

Of West Virginia and the grantee the Board of Education of Lubeck Township of the

County of Wood , and State of West Virginia .  Witnesseth That in consideration

Of the sum of Thirty Dollars in hand paid to said grantor by the grantee. The said

grantors do hereby Sell and convey unto the said grantee the following described property towit:

A piece of land beginning at the corner of Andrew Galvin at the forks

Of the road, thence along the Washington and Belville road parallel with the same,

thence ten rods to a stake in the stones, thence eight rods back from the road

parallel with the Andrew Galvin’s to a stake in the stones in Andrew Galvin’s

line eight rods back the place of beginning.  Thence along that line to the place

of beginning.  Containing one half acre.  Preserving the right of way to James

Smith his heirs or assigned and said grantors hereby warrant generally the title

to the above described property. For the grantee to have and to hold forever

On this 17st day of Oct 1866 A.D. 1866, before me, a Justice in and

For said County, personally appeared the said James Smith_Feby

Smith his wife above named and personally acknowledged that they did sign

And Seal the foregoing instrument, and that the same is the free act and deed of each of

Them, For the uses and purposes herein named.

               And the said Feby Smith wife of James Smith being examined by me separately

And apart from her said husband, and the contents of said instrument having hereby

Now made known to her, did declare that she did voluntarily sign and acknowledge

The same and that she is still satisfied therewith.

               Given under my hand Oct 17th 1866 the day and year aforesaid
